Job summary

Infinite Aged Care is seeking a hands-on kitchen assistant to join our fast‑paced commercial kitchen, supporting the Chef Manager and Hotel Services Team. You will help with food prep, plating, and meal service to deliver high‑quality meals for residents.

This role involves bending, lifting and standing for long periods; you will follow food safety and WHS procedures and assist with texture‑modified and allergen‑aware meals, while contributing to a clean, efficient dining environment.

Qualifications

• Hospitality or commercial kitchen experience required or strongly pursued.
• Students completing Commercial Cookery studies welcome to apply.
• Strong communication, initiative and attention to detail are essential.
• Reliable, adaptable team players who thrive in a busy kitchen environment.

Join a fast‑paced commercial kitchen environment where you’ll build hands‑on skills in food preparation, plating, and kitchen operations. Working with our Chef Manager and Hotel Services Team, you’ll help deliver high‑quality meals that make a real difference in residents’ daily lives.

About The Role

• Work as part of a supportive, fast‑moving team.

This role is a physical & fast paced with a lot of variety, you will do a lot of bending, squatting, lifting and pushing items to carry out your daily tasks safely. It is important you can perform these tasks without risk of injury to yourself, your colleagues and our residents.

About You

• Hospitality or commercial kitchen experience (or a strong interest in developing these skills).
• Students completing or planning Commercial Cookery studies who want to build practical, hands‑on skills that directly support their training.
• Strong communication, initiative, and attention to detail skills.
• Reliable, adaptable team players who thrive in a busy kitchen environment and have the availability to support a variety of shifts.

NOT suitable for candidates studying personal care or nursing, as training and development focus exclusively on commercial cookery and kitchen operations.
