Job summary

Infinite Aged Care is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support food preparation, plating, and dining service in a fast-paced residential care setting. You will assist with meal service, maintain cleanliness, and help prepare meals that meet dietary needs.

Experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred, with reliability, good communication, and a proactive approach to safety and teamwork. This role suits someone looking to grow skills in hospitality within aged care.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months of working experience in a commercial kitchen, ideally from clubs or hotels.
• Hospitality or kitchen experience, or interest in developing these skills.
• Attention to detail and reliability in a busy kitchen.

Join a fast paced commercial kitchen environment where you'll build hands on skills in food preparation, plating, and kitchen operations. Working with our Chef Manager and Hotel Services Team, you'll help deliver high quality meals that make a real difference in residents' daily lives.

About the Role

• At least 6 - 12 months of working experience in Commercial Kitchen ideally from Sports Clubs or RSLs or Bowls Club or Hotel/Motel background or in a similar setting preferably
• Assist with food prep, plating, and meal service in a commercial kitchen.
• Support dietary needs, including texture modified and allergen aware meals.
• Maintain high standards of kitchen and dining cleanliness.
• Set up and reset dining rooms and equipment for each service.
• Follow food safety and WHS procedures.
• Work as part of a supportive, fast moving team.

This role is a physical & fast paced with a lot of variety, you will do a lot of bending, squatting, lifting and pushing items to carry out your daily tasks safely. It is important you can perform these tasks without risk of injury to yourself, your colleagues and our residents.

About You
