Job summary

South Eastern Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Painter/Spray Painter to deliver maintenance across the St George Hospital campus and related facilities.

The role requires a painting trade qualification, knowledge of Australian Standards, safe work practices, and the ability to work with a multidisciplinary team in a busy environment. Permanent full-time role with 38 hours per week, salary $66,160–$76,082 plus superannuation, closing 29 June 2027.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated painting experience in maintenance of large building complexes, preferably hospitals.
• Able to follow safe work practices and manage time with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of colour matching systems, paint preparation and application on diverse surfaces.
• Experience with compressors, sanders, spray equipment and ladders/scaffolding.
• Holding a painting trade qualification and knowledge of Australian Standards and Codes of Practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an effective maintenance service for the St George Hospital campus buildings.
• Maintain internal and external surfaces using appropriate paints and coatings.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver timely maintenance outcomes.
• Adhere to safety, WHS procedures and use of authorised equipment.
