South Eastern Sydney Local Health District seeks a Painter/Spray Painter to maintain hospital facilities at St George Campus. The role delivers efficient painting services across large building complexes, requiring strong safety practices and teamwork.

You will handle colour matching, surface prep, and coatings for various surfaces under minimal supervision, while coordinating with trades and staff to keep facilities in top condition.

Qualifications

• Experience painting maintenance of large buildings and facilities, preferably hospitals, with team collaboration.
• Good organisational and time management with minimal supervision and safe practices.
• Knowledge of colour matching, prep, paints and stains for internal/external surfaces.
• Experience with compressors, sanders, spray equipment and ladders/scaffolding.
• Painting trade qualification and knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and Codes of Practice.
• Strong written and verbal communication; computer literacy and work order systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver maintenance services for St George Hospital campus buildings and sites.
• Prepare, apply and finish paints and coatings as required.
• Operate painting tools safely (compressors, sprayers, sanders) and use ladders/scaffolding.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet maintenance needs in a busy environment.
• Adhere to Work Health and Safety standards and NSW Health policies.
