Job summary

St John of God Geelong Hospital is seeking a dedicated Hospital Concierge & Security Officer to warmly welcome patients, visitors and caregivers while delivering outstanding service and maintaining a safe environment.

This full-time role is based at the front of house, with hours 8:00am–4:06pm, Monday to Friday, and occasional weekend/public holiday shifts. You will respond to emergencies, support clinical teams and collaborate with departments to ensure smooth operations.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organisational, and time management skills.
• Ability to multi-task while delivering exceptional service.

St John of God Geelong HospitalSt John of God Hospital Geelong is a 253 bed hospital and is recognised as the leading provider of private health care in the Barwon and South-Western region. The hospital provides a range of services including an emergency department, day surgery, medical, surgical and maternity services, along with a 24 hour critical care unit and Cath Lab services.

About the role

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Hospital Concierge & Security Officer to be the welcoming face of our hospital. In this rewarding role, you will create a positive first impression for patients, visitors, and caregivers, providing exceptional service, assistance, and guidance while ensuring everyone feels welcomed, supported, and valued from the moment they arrive.

Working primarily at the front of house, you will also play an important role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and caregivers. You will respond to emergency codes in support of clinical teams and assist operational departments when required. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:06pm (7.6 hours per day), with occasional weekend and public holiday shifts.

Your skills and experience

You will have previous concierge or customer service experience, with proven ability to manage and de-escalate challenging situations, and a strong passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

To succeed, you will have exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, along with excellent organisational and time management skills and the ability to multi-task.

The Benefits:

Salary: $59,729 to $61,511 per annum (pro rata for part time) , plus 12% superannuation

Permanent full-time role
