Job summary

Royal Children’s Hospital – Greater Shepparton VIC is seeking a compassionate personal care assistant to support children in their homes and communities. Hours are Tue–Fri, 9:00 am–1:00 pm, with duties including personal care, medication administration, and equipment hygiene.

You will join a supportive team focusing on bridging access to care in remote areas, building strong relationships with families, and providing respite for carers. A Victorian license and own car are highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written English.
• Strong communication with parents and children.
• Ability to travel independently with own car or access to one.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, medical interventions, tube feeds and pre-dosed medications per the child’s care plan.
• Support children within their home and access community activities as appropriate.
• Ensure safety and hygiene of equipment and report concerns promptly.
