Job summary

The Royal Children’s Hospital in Victoria is seeking qualified carers for community/home-based care of complex needs children. You will deliver personal care, medical support, and age-appropriate activities in the child’s home while maintaining safety and reporting concerns to families.

Qualifications

• Ability to complete verbal and written tasks in English (Professional Working Proficiency/C1).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel independently with Victorian license and own car or access to one.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, medical interventions, tube feeds and pre-dosed medications per child care plan.
• Maintain child safety and report concerns promptly to parents.
• Predominantly support children in their home, with activities, education, and community outings as appropriate.
• Ensure safe and hygienic use of equipment as trained.
