Job summary

Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) in Shepparton is seeking a Family Healthcare Support Worker to provide in-home care for children within their local community. The role works alongside the Complex Care Hub, supporting families and maintaining child safety and well-being in everyday settings.

The position focuses on personal care, clinical tasks and enabling access to education and activities while fostering strong relationships with families and the community.

Qualifications

• Ability to complete verbal and written tasks in English (Professional Working Proficiency/C1).
• Well-developed communication skills and a professional manner.
• Ability to travel independently (Victorian license and own car or access to one).
• General computer skills and accurate data entry.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, medical interventions, tube feeds and pre-dosed medications per individual care plan.
• Maintain safety and wellbeing of the child and report concerns promptly.
• Predominantly support children in their home, with activities, education and community outings as appropriate.
• Ensure safe and hygienic use of equipment according to training.
