Job summary

The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) is seeking a Family Healthcare Support Worker to provide direct care for complex needs children in their own homes, supported by the Complex Care Hub. You will deliver personal care, medical tasks, and accompany children to activities while ensuring safety, reporting concerns to families.

A Victorian driver’s license and own car are highly desired. This community/home-based role offers salary packaging, shift allowances, Novated Leases, and ongoing

Qualifications

Verbal and written tasks in English at professional working proficiency (C1/Advanced High ACTFL).
Strong communication and professional demeanor.
Ability to travel independently with Victorian license or access to a car.

Responsibilities

provide personal care, medical interventions, tube feeds and pre-dosed medications in line with the child’s individual care plan
maintain the safety and well-being of the child and report concerns promptly to the parents as outlined in training
predominately support children within their home, but also access activities, education, and community outings if appropriate
be responsible for the safe and hygienic use of equipment as practiced in your training
