Job summary

Auto & General Australia is seeking a Desktop Home Assessing Team Leader to guide and oversee the Home Assessing Team responsible for property assessments, cost validation, and end-to-end claim management.

In this role you will coach the team, drive performance, handle escalations, and contribute to strategic improvements across the claims value chain while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a professional team of Home Assessors or related field.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with internal/external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to coach, performance-manage and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead, monitor and inspire the team to deliver high-standard service.
• Provide guidance and coaching to team members to build skills and career growth.
• Handle escalated claims, complaints and complex matters.
• Implement cost control strategies to meet planned outcomes.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and provide feedback.
• Contribute to strategic and operational improvements in the Claims value chain.
• Track and report KPIs, ensuring productivity and quality metrics.
