Job summary

Pearl Home Care Geelong, a small family-owned community service provider, is seeking experienced Home Care Workers to visit clients’ homes across Geelong and Bellarine Peninsula. You’ll enhance health and well-being, building trust and independence, with a client-focused, empathetic approach.

Roles are casual with view to permanent part-time. Availability across a 7-day roster is preferred, with hours from 7:00am–6:00pm and training provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in home care and supporting elderly clients.
• Willingness to obtain required certifications and checks.
• Able to assist with personal care, mobility and medications.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care with manual handling as needed.
• Assist with domestic tasks and meal preparation.
• Offer social support and companionship to clients.
• Assist with medications and transport to appointments.
• Support clients to stay independent at home.

Pearl Home Care Geelong and Bellarine Peninsula is a small but experienced, family-owned community service provider that offers the best in professional and affordable in-home aged and disability care.

We are currently seeking multiple experienced and committed Home Care Workers travelling to clients’ homes withintheGeelong and Bellarine Peninsularegion working alongsideour clients enhancing their health/well-being and enabling them to stay in their own homes.You will need to be friendly, positive, and determined to make a difference. You need to demonstrate client-focused behaviour, showing empathy, and treating others with dignity and respect. You’ll be a natural relationship builder, honest, helpful, and dependable, making you a great asset to our team.

We are offering casual roles with a view to permanent part-time for suitable candidates.

Duties will include personal care requiring manualhandling, domestic assistance, social support, meal preparation, medication assistance and transportation. Experience with Dementia and Mental Health will be advantageous.

Our ideal candidates will have availabilityacross the 7-day roster with hours worked between 7:00am – 6:00pm, but we are flexible to fit in with your work/life balance.

• A passion for assisting the elderly to remain independent in their own homes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Certificate III in Aged Care (desired for Carer services)
• Current Certificates in First Aid and CPR or willingness to obtain
• Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain
• Driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle
• Willing to undertake training, including hoists and assisting with medications
• Eligibility to work in Australia
