Job summary

Pearl Home Care Pty is seeking two Domestic Assistants to support elderly clients living at home on a casual basis. The role involves driving to client homes and delivering practical in-home support for about 15-20 hours per week.

You'll assist with cleaning, meal prep, laundry, and shopping, maintaining a friendly, autonomous approach with clients while adhering to safety standards. Australian residency and a current First Aid/CPR certificate are required, as is a valid driver's license and

• 1+ years' experience in general cleaning or domestic assistant role is helpful but not essential.
• Experience in aged care or disability care is helpful but not essential.
• Friendly demeanor and ability to listen to clients to understand needs.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Australian Residency and up-to-date national police check required.
• Australian Driver's license and regular access to a vehicle.
• Current First aid and CPR certificate.

Job description

The Pearl Domestic Assistant actively supports elderly people who are living at home, either independently or with family. We are looking to hire two successful applicants in a casual position with 15-20 hours a week in community aged care that involves driving to each client's house. At least 4 day availability from Monday to Friday is required. There is potential to move to permanent part time after 6 months.

• Being a positive presence for clients while carrying out work in their homes

About you

• 1+ years' experience in general cleaning or domestic assistant role is highly regarded but not essential
• Previous experience in aged care or disability care is highly regarded but not essential
• A friendly demeanor and openness to listening to clients and understanding what they need and want
• The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
• Australian Residency
• Up to date national police check (issued within the last 6 months)
• Australian Driver's license
• Regular access to a vehicle
• Current First aid and CPR certificate
