Job summary

Silverchain is seeking a Home Care Worker to help our aged clients remain independent at home in Penrith and surrounding suburbs. You will perform general housekeeping, personal care, meal prep, shopping, and accompany clients to lifestyle activities, with transport arranged as needed.

Requirements include a valid Australian driver’s licence, your own insured vehicle, and 3–6 months’ experience in community or aged care.

Job description

It takes a special person to be a Home Care Worker and help the older members of our community to maintain their home and enhance their wellbeing. We are looking for just that person to join the Silverchain team in Penrith and surrounding suburbs.

• Don’t sweat the small stuff. Sometimes your client will be having a bad day or traffic delays you, but you know not to take this personally and can shake it off before your next client.
• Are comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your manager for help.

In addition, you will need:

• A valid Australian Driver's Licence & your own insured, roadworthy vehicle
• An interest in community care or aged care (3 - 6 months previous experience in a similar role).
