Job summary

Churches Of Christ in Queensland is seeking caring Home Care Workers to assist seniors in their own homes with everyday tasks, companionship, and social activities. This casual position offers training and supportive supervision from Senior Home Care Workers.

Ideal applicants hold Certificate 3 in Individual Support, current First Aid/CPR, a valid Australian driver’s license, and vehicle insurance. Sponsorship is not available for this role.

About the Opportunity:

Home Care Darling and Southern Downs is looking for caring and reliable individuals to assist seniors in their homes with everyday tasks, companionship, and social support. If you have a passion for helping others and a positive attitude, we will provide the necessary training to support you in this role.

What you'll be responsible for:

• Provide friendly companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with household tasks such as light cleaning, meal preparation, and shopping.
• Support clients with transport to appointments and community activities.
• Encourage independence and well-being in a home environment.

About you:

This role is perfect for someone who is compassionate, reliable, and eager to make a difference - Providing personalised assistance to clients, helping them maintain their independence and enhancing their quality of life within their chosen community. You will be a valued member of the team, working closely with and reporting to our very supportive Senior Home Care Workers as needed.

You'll ideally bring:

• Currently holds a Certificate 3 in Individual Support
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
• A current driver's license and a reliable, registered, and comprehensively insured vehicle suitable for work purposes are essential for this role. (Reimbursement of $0.96 per KM is provided for use of own vehicle)
• Currently holds, or willing to obtain a current police check
• Hold a valid Australian Work Rights - Unfortunately we are not offering sponsorship for this role.
