Job summary

Churches of Christ Home Care Wide Bay Region in Hervey Bay, QLD is seeking casual Home Care Workers to support clients in their own homes with daily tasks, companionship and community involvement. The role requires a caring, reliable individual with a Certificate III in Individual Support, a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a police check.

About the Role

Home Care Wide Bay Region is seeking caring and reliable individuals to support clients in their homes with everyday tasks, companionship and community engagement. If you enjoy helping others and want to make a positive difference, we'd love to hear from you.

As a Home Care Worker, you will:

• Provide companionship and social support to clients.
• Assist with household tasks, including light cleaning, meal preparation and shopping.
• Support clients with transport to appointments and community activities.
• Help clients maintain their independence, confidence and wellbeing at home.
• Has a caring nature, positive attitude and strong communication skills.
• Demonstrates reliability, flexibility, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
• Holds Certificate III in Individual Support.
• Holds a current driver's license and a reliable, registered, and comprehensively insured vehicle suitable for work purposes are essential for this role.(Reimbursement of $0.96 per KM is provided for use of own vehicle)
• Holds a current Police Check or is willing to obtain one.
• Hold a valid Australian Work Rights - Unfortunately we are not currently able to sponsor
