Job summary

Churches of Christ in Queensland – Bundaberg QLD is seeking Senior Home Care Workers to support clients in their homes, helping with daily tasks, companionship and community engagement. The role focuses on personal care, medication support and domestic assistance while promoting independence and wellbeing.

You will contribute to care plans, document progress and mentor junior staff in a not-for-profit sector with strong values.

Qualifications

• Has Certificate III or IV in Individual Support.
• Current driver''s license and a reliable vehicle are essential for this role.
• Current Police Check.
• Australian Work Rights - we are not able to sponsor

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance to clients (e.g., showering, dressing, toileting).
• Assist clients with medications.
• Provide domestic assistance and meal preparation with food hygiene in mind.
• Provide social support through transport, social outings, shopping, etc.
• Participate in review of client care plans; ensure documentation is complete and accurate; report health changes.
• Train and mentor Home Care Workers.
• Perform responsibilities in line with the Positive Wellbeing Model of Care.

About the Role

Home Care Wide Bay Region is seeking caring and reliable individuals to support clients in their homes with everyday tasks, companionship and community engagement. If you enjoy helping others and want to make a positive difference, we'd love to hear from you.

As a Senior Home Care Worker, you will:

• Provide personal care assistance to clients for example showering, dressing and toileting.
• Assist clients with medications.
• Provide general domestic assistance; assist in the preparation and cooking of in-home meals; ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety standards.
• Provide social support to clients by providing transport, assisting with social outings, shopping etc.
• Participate in the review of client care plans; ensure documentation is complete and accurate; report observed changes to client health.
• Train and Mentor Home Care Workers.
• Perform position responsibilities and support others in accordance with the Positive Wellbeing Model of Care.

• Has a caring nature, positive attitude and strong communication skills.
• Demonstrates reliability, flexibility, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
• Holds Certificate III or IV in Individual Support.
• Holds a current driver's license and a reliable, registered, and comprehensively insured vehicle suitable for work purposes are essential for this role.(Reimbursement of $0.96 per KM is provided for use of own vehicle)
• Holds a current Police Check or is willing to obtain one.
• Hold a valid Australian Work Rights - Unfortunately we are not currently able to sponsor
