Job summary

Silverchain Group in Tweed Heads is seeking Home Care Workers to support older clients at home, with casual roles in Tweed Heads and surrounding suburbs. No Cert 3 required on hand experience.

The role offers an award rate of $43.03 per hour + Super & Paid KM's, benefits program and salary packaging up to $18,550 tax free per year, plus opportunities for accelerated learning (Cert 3) and paid CPR/First Aid courses (USI required).

Qualifications

• Experience of 3 months or more in a similar professional role, with personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications.
• A valid Australian Driver's Licence and your own insured, roadworthy vehicle.
• Be able to work independently and provide high-quality aged care at home.

Responsibilities

• General housekeeping, making beds, cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors, laundry, meal preparation and grocery shopping.
• Getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed, assisting with medications, mobility and therapy goals.
• Providing care for clients with high care needs, including dementia, and offering social and emotional support.
• Transporting clients to lifestyle activities or appointments and supporting family carers.

It takes a special person to be a Home Care Worker and help the older members of our community to maintain their home and enhance their wellbeing. We are looking for experienced Carers, Support Workers (or similar position in Aged Care & or Disability) to join the Silverchain team in Tweed Heads & surrounding suburbs (Banora Point, Kings Forest, Upper Duroby etc...). No Cert 3 required on hand experience!

In Addition, You Will Need

The Role

In the role of Care Worker you will be providing our aged care clients with home help services such as:

• General housekeeping and making beds
• Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors
• Washing, folding and ironing laundry
• Meal preparation and grocery shopping.

You will also be providing our aged care clients with personal care services such as:

• Getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day
• Assisting clients to take their medications
• Assisting with mobility and therapy goals
• Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia
• Providing social and emotional support
• Providing the client with transport to lifestyle activities or appointments
• Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things.
