Job summary

Silverchain Group is seeking a Care Worker to support older clients in Port Macquarie West and surrounding suburbs with home help and personal care. The role requires at least 3 months of similar experience, a valid Australian Driver's Licence, and ability to provide medication assistance and mobility support.

You’ll help with housekeeping, meal prep, laundry and transport to activities. Guaranteed hours, Monday-Wednesday shifts, and an award rate of 34.42 AUD per hour plus super and paid

• 3+ months experience in a similar role.

In Addition, You Will Need

• A valid Australian Driver's Licence & your own insured, roadworthy vehicle
• Experience of 3 months or more in a similar professional role, with experience in with personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications. (no cert 3 required)

The role

In the role of Care Worker you will be providing our aged care clients with home help services such as:

• General housekeeping and making beds
• Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors
• Washing, folding and ironing laundry
• Meal preparation and grocery shopping.

You will also be providing our aged care clients with personal care services such as:

• Getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day
• Assisting clients to take their medications
• Assisting with mobility and therapy goals
• Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia
• Providing social and emotional support
• Providing the client with transport to lifestyle activities or appointments
• Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things.
