Job summary

Silverchain Group in Enfield, Victoria, is seeking a Care Worker to support older adults to maintain independence and wellbeing. A minimum of 3 months' experience in a similar role and a valid Australian driver's licence with a insured vehicle are required.

You will perform home care tasks, including housekeeping, meals, and personal care, with guaranteed hours and an award-rate hourly pay. The role also involves assisting with medications, mobility and transport to appointments, while building

We are looking for a person with at least 3 months experience in a similar professional role, to join the Silverchain team in the Enfield and surrounding areas.

In Addition, You Will Need

• A valid Australian Driver's Licence and your own insured, roadworthy vehicle
• Experience of 3 months or more in a similar professional role, with experience in with personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications.

The role

In the role of Care Worker you will be providing our aged care clients with home help services such as:

• General housekeeping and making beds
• Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors
• Washing, folding and ironing laundry
• Meal preparation and grocery shopping.

You will also be providing our aged care clients with personal care services such as:

• Getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day
• Assisting clients to take their medications
• Assisting with mobility and therapy goals
• Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia
• Providing social and emotional support
• Providing the client with transport to lifestyle activities or appointments
• Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things.
