Job summary

IRT (Illawarra Retirement Trust) is seeking experienced aged care workers for permanent part-time roles across Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Currimundi, Caloundra and surrounds (4551, 4558, 4557). In this role you will perform domestic assistance, personal care, transport and social support, with guaranteed hours and access to accredited training through the IRT Academy.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's license and a fully insured car.
• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent.
• Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain).
• At least 6 months of experience working in homecare or aged care.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Dependable and able to work independently.
• Available to work on weekdays during the day.
• A big heart, empathy and a passion for supporting older Australians.

Responsibilities

• Domestic Assistance including cleaning and cooking or meal preparation
• Personal care including getting them up, showering and dressing
• Driving clients to medical appointments or taking them shopping
• Providing social support and community engagement
• Providing complex care and medication management
