Princes Court Ltd. seeks caring staff to support consumers to live independently at home through personal care, domestic tasks and social support.

You will assist with daily living activities, coordinate appointments and work with healthcare providers to ensure comfort and safety. Required are a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent, First Aid and CPR, a valid Class C Driver Licence, and a current Police Check or NDIS Screening (or willingness to obtain).

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent.
• First Aid and CPR certificates required.
• Driver licence (Class C) required.
• Knowledge of the Commonwealth Aged Care Quality Standards.
• National Police Check or NDIS Worker Screening, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsabilités

• Assist with shopping, banking and bill paying or undertake on consumers behalf.
• Assist with meals as required, including preparation and cooking.
• Supervise/assist with personal hygiene, showering, toileting, continence aids, and dressing.
• Aid residents to get in and out of bed and assist with ambulation or wheelchair movement.
• Liaise with doctors and emergency services when necessary.
• Organise appointments and escort to appointments or outings.
• Assist with exercises as professionally determined.
• Perform simple wound dressing.
• General household cleaning in kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms.
• Provide social support to consumers.

This position supports consumers to remain living independently within their community. This is achieved by the delivery of quality domestic, personal care and social support services to individual consumers inline with their specific needs and preferences and ensure their rights, cultural, spiritual and individual needs are incorporated in all aspects of care and daily living.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with shopping, banking and bill paying or undertake on consumers behalf.
• Assist with meals as required, including preparation and cooking.
• Supervising/ assisting with personal hygiene, showering, toileting, fitting/removing of continence aids, fitting and changing catheters, dressing/undressing, grooming, oral care, and fitting hearing aids.
• Providing assistance to residents to enable them to get in and out of bed, assisting ambulating residents or with pushing / manoeuvring of wheelchairs or equipment.
• Liaise with doctors and emergency services, where considered necessary.
• Organise appointments and escort to appointments or outings as required.
• Assist and supervise with professionally determined exercises.
• Simple wound dressing
• General household cleaning in kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms etc.
• Provide social support.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

• Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
• Current First Aid certificate.
• Current CPR certificate.
• Current Class C Drivers Licence.
• Knowledge of the Commonwealth’s Aged Care Industry Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Have the use of a registered and fully insured motor vehicle that is suitable for consumer transport.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Current National Police Check or NDIS Workers Screening or willingness to obtain one. prior commencement.
