Job summary

Brophy Family & Youth Services in Warrnambool, VIC, is seeking a full-time Social Services practitioner to work with children, young people and families. You will undertake intake, assessment, planning and coordination, and provide supported referrals and case reviews in alignment with relevant frameworks.

Experience with trauma-informed approaches and child protection systems is essential. A current driver’s licence and willingness to drive are required as part of service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Social Work or Diploma in Community Welfare Work required (or equivalent).
• Demonstrated knowledge of child protection and out-of-home care practices.

• An understanding of trauma informed practices.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the appropriate legislation, case management practice, and the ability to adhere to policy and procedures.
• An ability to maintain positive, effective working relationships with colleagues, peers, and relevant stakeholders in a wide range of government, business and community organisations.

Are your credentials:

• A minimum qualification of a sector recognised and accreditedBachelor of Social Work orDiplomain Community Welfare Work or equivalent.(Qualifications must be approved by recognised professional bodies:ie. AASW, Community Services Council, APS etc.)
• A current Drivers Licenceand willingness to drive.
