Job summary

Our Lady of Mercy College Parramatta invites an experienced History teacher to join us on a full-time, two-term contract commencing Term 1, 2027. You will teach Stages 4–5 History, deliver syllabus-aligned lessons and provide constructive feedback to support student growth.

You will promote the Catholic identity of the College and Mercy values in all aspects of school life, learning and leadership, while contributing to co-curricular life.

Qualifications

• Relevant NSW teaching qualification and eligibility to teach History.
• Experience teaching NSW History at Stages 4–5.
• Capacity to reflect and adapt teaching to improve learning outcomes.
• Ability to establish a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, syllabus-aligned History lessons for Stage 4–5.
• Provide constructive feedback to support student reflection and growth.
• Foster an inclusive, respectful classroom and supportive school culture.
• Contribute to the co-curricular life and uphold the College's Catholic mission and Mercy values.
