Job summary

Patrician Brothers' College Blacktown, part of Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese, seeks a History and Geography teacher for Years 7–12 on an ongoing full-time basis, commencing 28 January 2027. The role supports Catholic education and offers potential VET training opportunities.

The successful candidate will teach across years 7–12, inspire curiosity, and foster inclusive practices, with a focus on ongoing professional growth and collaboration with families and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Working with Children Check clearance required.
• Eligibility under NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).
• Statements of Service or equivalent documentation.
• Tertiary qualification of at least a 4-year degree, or near completion.

Responsibilities

• Teach History and Geography to Years 7–12.
• Deliver engaging, innovative, and challenging lessons.
• Develop students' inquiry, research, and critical thinking.
• Use data and assessment to improve learning outcomes.
• Build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
• Commit to Catholic education and CSPD values.
• Pursue ongoing professional growth and development.
• Desirable: capacity to teach Religious Education.
• Desirable: willingness to undertake VET Retail/Business Services training.
