QIMR Berghofer is seeking a Histology Scientist to join the Histology Group within Scientific Services. The role involves routine sample collection and processing, paraffin and frozen sections, and histochemical staining while maintaining laboratory facilities and providing technical advice to clients.

Ideal candidates will have a degree and 4–5 years’ histology lab experience, with attention to detail, accurate record-keeping, and knowledge of immunohistochemistry (IHC) including multiplex TSA

Formación

• Degree in histology or a related field and 4–5 years' histology lab experience.
• Excellent record-keeping with attention to detail.
• Experience with tissue processing, embedding, sectioning and IHC (multiplex TSA) is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Collect and process samples and prepare paraffin and frozen sections.
• Perform histochemical staining and maintain histology equipment.
• Provide technical advice to clients and assist with day-to-day lab operations.
• Support supervisory duties and foster client relationships.
• Occasional after-hours work to meet operational needs.
