Job summary

Compass Group Pty Limited is seeking a qualified Full-Time Chef in Borambola, NSW to cater for large school groups, corporate events, and daily onsite meals in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Onsite parking is provided.

The role requires Cert III in Commercial Cookery, HACCP and allergen controls, and a focus on fresh, café-style food. You will work with a small kitchen team to deliver quality meals and maintain safety standards.

Qualifications

• Cert III in Commercial Cookery (essential).
• Food Safety Supervisor certification (highly regarded).
• Proven experience in bulk or high-volume cooking environments.
• Strong understanding of allergen management and dietary needs, particularly with children.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a small kitchen team.
• Passionate about fresh, café-style food with quality and presentation.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, OH&S practices and kitchen compliance.
• Must be able to obtain or hold Working with Children Check and National Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and assist in preparation, bulk cooking and presentation of meals to a high standard across group settings.
• Cater for large school groups, corporate functions and daily onsite meals.
• Ensure meals meet dietary requirements and allergen controls, especially for children.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety and HACCP compliance.
• Monitor food costs through portion control, waste minimisation and stock management.
• Support development of healthy menu options and nutritional awareness.
