You will lead protection Relays, CT/VT testing, HV commissioning and maintenance, guiding project handovers and risk/value engineering to optimise client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical estimating and HV systems.

High Voltage Technical Lead - Projects & Estimating

The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator & HV Technical Lead to join our team in a senior role combining electrical estimating, commercial leadership and HV technical expertise.
You will play a key role in delivering competitive tenders while leading the development of HV protection, testing, commissioning, termination and maintenance capabilities across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical estimating, tender preparation, pricing and project handovers.
• Analyse drawings, specifications and scope to develop accurate, competitive estimates.
• Provide commercial input on margins, risks, value engineering and delivery strategies.
• Develop and improve HV protection, testing, commissioning, termination and maintenance processes.
• Provide technical leadership across protection relays, CT/VT testing, primary and secondary injection, cable testing and HV commissioning.
• Ensure HV activities comply with the Victorian Electrical Safety Rules (Blue Book), AS 2067, AS/NZS 3000 and network requirements.
• Lead and mentor technical teams, supporting competency, training and authorisation pathways.
• Coordinate HV maintenance, outages, protection upgrades, commissioning and defect rectification.
• Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors and support business development opportunities.
• Drive safety, compliance, quality and continuous improvement across HV operations.

About You

You will be an experienced electrical professional with a strong background in electrical estimating and HV systems, ideally with experience across:

• Electrical estimating and tendering.
• HV protection, testing and commissioning.
• Protection relays, CT/VT testing and primary/secondary injection.
• HV cable terminations and cable testing.
• Blue Book, AS 2067 and AS/NZS 3000 requirements.
• Commercial pricing, project risk and subcontractor management.
• Leading and developing technical teams.

Strong communication, commercial awareness and the ability to work across project, operational and technical teams are essential.
