Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to deliver secondary systems and protection design for HV projects across multiple sites in Australia. The role offers hybrid and flexible working arrangements with opportunities to work on national projects in energy, renewables and infrastructure.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients while developing protection schemes and control systems, mentoring junior engineers along the way.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience across secondary systems.
• Experience with Australian Standards and NSP technical requirements.
• Experience delivering HV electrical infrastructure projects in a consulting environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver secondary systems and protection engineering across HV projects.
• Develop and review protection schemes, relay settings, control schemes and secondary design packages.
• Work across protection, control, automation, communications and SCADA interfaces.
• Coordinate with primary, power systems and wider multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Support design reviews, commissioning planning and technical issue resolution.
• Work directly with clients, NSPs, contractors and OEMs.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineers and graduates.

Salary: $140k -$160k base + super

Location: Sydney or Melbourne

Design & Build has partnered with a national multidisciplinary engineering consultancy delivering projects across energy, renewables & infrastructure.
