Job summary

Peabody is seeking a High Voltage Electrician for the Coppabella Moorvale Joint Venture (CMJV) mine complex, located about 140 kilometres southwest of Mackay. The role focuses on maintenance of mobile mining equipment and fixed infrastructure, with strict adherence to safety, risk management, and SAP-based work management.

Qualifications

• The candidate must hold a QLD Electrical Licence and have open-cut mining maintenance experience.
• Experience with defect inspections and SAP work management systems is preferred.
• High voltage switching competencies are required.
• CPR/LVR validity within the last 12 months is expected.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to site safety standards and statutory regulations at all times.
• Comply with Safety and Health Management system requirements (risk management, SOPs, permits, etc.).
• Maintain on-site mobile mining equipment and fixed plant infrastructure.
• Prioritise and complete work to required standards and deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and participate in shift changes and site meetings.
• Engage in the Peabody Continuous Improvement Program.
