Job summary

Golding Contractors seeks an experienced HV Electrician to join the Meandu Mine team near Kingaroy, Queensland. This residential DIDO role features a lifestyle roster (5/4 4/5 5/5) with 12.25-hour day/night shifts or day shifts only.

You will perform high voltage electrical maintenance on heavy mobile equipment, draglines, and washplants, and conduct inspections under safety regulations to support site reliability.

Qualifications

• Qld Electrical Fitter Mechanic Trade Certificate (or state equivalent).
• Nationally recognised high voltage switching operations certificate (SOA).
• Current LVR/CPR (within the last 12 months).
• Current Drivers Licence.
• Current Standard 11.
• Current Coal Board Medical (or ability to pass).
• Experience working on electric drive haul trucks.
• Solid troubleshooting & diagnostic skill.

Responsibilities

• Maintain site production equipment with minimal downtime on draglines, washplants and mobile plant.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections, breakdown response and electrical troubleshooting across heavy equipment, draglines, HV/LV infrastructure and washplants.
• Conduct high voltage testing and switching operations across site infrastructure.
• Complete maintenance administration and fault finding in compliance with safety regulations.
• Participate in toolbox and safety meetings.
• Assist in Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Work Method Statement Reviews.

Golding are seeking an experienced HV Electrician to become part of our team at the Meandu Mine, located near Kingaroy.

This is a residential DIDO position working on a lifestyle roster (5/4 4/5 5/5) 12.25 hour shifts Day and Night rotating or Day shift only.

Key Responsibilities

Working as part of a team to ensure minimal downtime of site production equipment, including draglines, washplants and mobile plant.

Executing preventative maintenance statutory electrical inspections, breakdown response and electrical troubleshooting across heavy mobile equipment, draglines, HV/LV infrastructure and washplants

Executing high voltage testing and switching operations across site infrastructure.

Complete all maintenance administration and fault finding in a timely manner ensuring strict compliance with the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act/Regulation and relevant standards

Actively participate in toolbox and safety meetings

Participate in Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Work Method Statement Reviews

Capability Requirements

Qld Electrical Fitter Mechanic Trade Certificate (or Australian state/territory equivalent) Nationally recognised high voltage switching operations certificate (SOA)

Highly Regarded

EEHA (Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas) certification/Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas

Specific experience working on Hitachi and Komastu electric haul trucks, 1370W draglines and washplant operations (including Siemens T3000)

Instrumentation qualifications or practical experience interfacing with washplant/dragline SCADA and control networks
