Job summary

AirTrunk is seeking an Electrical Systems Specialist on site in New South Wales to lead high voltage switching operations, develop and review procedures, and support MV/LV electrical integration across data centre campuses. You will collaborate with the DC Operations and Development teams and engage with general contractors to ensure safety and reliability.

The role requires 5–8 years of HV/LV experience, an electrical license, and willingness to travel to other AirTrunk sites in Australia.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–8 years of proven experience in safely performing HV switching operations and LV equipment.
• Sound technical knowledge of MV and LV systems (EHV, MV, LV Generators, PTUs/UPS, ATS).
• Ability to read and interpret single line diagrams and communicate complex concepts to non-technical colleagues.
• Willingness to travel to AirTrunk’s other sites in Australia for support or coverage.

Responsibilities

• Lead HV switching operations across SYD3 using approved methodologies.
• Develop or review MOPs for construction-based electrical integration works.
• Review MOPs from partner teams for MV/LV works.
• Lead maintenance and inspection of LV network including generators, UPS, DC systems, and busways.
• Support commissioning team with electrical apparatus and cover HV/LV equipment.
• Assist in design reviews for projects in the SYD region.
• Mentor AirTrunk safety team during incident investigations.
