Job summary

Chemlah Care is seeking High Intensity Support Workers to provide intensive mental health and complex care support across participants in Canberra and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities include one-to-one and group support, risk-management, trauma-informed care, and medication assistance within your scope of practice, with travel to nearby communities as needed.

• Positive Behaviour Support
• Mental health and psychosocial disability
• Trauma-informed care
• Complex behaviours and de‑escalation
• Medication assistance or administration
• Manual handling and mobility support
• Epilepsy and seizure management
• Diabetes management
• Enteral feeding
• Dysphagia and mealtime management
• Previous experience providing active overnight or sleepover support

Depending on each participant’s individual needs, your responsibilities may include:

• Providing one-to-one, two-to-one or group-based support
• Supporting participants with complex mental health needs
• Implementing behaviour support and risk-management strategies

• Following individual support plans, behaviour support plans and clinical instructions
