Victorian Government Schools seek classroom teachers to plan, prepare and teach programs aimed at achieving targeted student outcomes. Teachers will engage in critical reflection and inquiry to continually improve knowledge and skills for effective instruction.

As teachers gain experience, their role expands to support school programs, contribute to policy development, and mentor other staff in evidence-based practices. A focus on data-driven improvement and collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the relevant curriculum with ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Experience planning and implementing high impact teaching strategies and evaluating their impact.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning and using data to inform practice.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with students, parents, colleagues and the school community.
• Reflective practitioner who engages in ongoing professional learning to improve teaching quality.

Responsabilités

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individuals.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum programs.
• Undertake other classroom teaching related and organizational duties as directed by the principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake other non-teaching supervisory duties.
