Job summary

France Soir Restaurant in Melbourne's South Yarra is a busy, high-end French dining venue seeking an experienced restaurant manager for a full-time role. The job covers reservations, guest greetings, staff training, and ensuring smooth front-of-house operations.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in a similar role, preferably with French cuisine experience, is French-speaking, and holds a valid RSA certificate. A rotating roster including weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role in fast-paced/high-end environment.
• French-speaking preferred with experience in French cuisine.
• Must have a valid RSA certificate and be able to work a rotating roster including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Make reservations, plan and arrange special requirements.
• Greet guests on arrival and ensure smooth service.
• Train and manage trade waiters and assist during service.
• Maintain communication between back and front of house staff.
• Manage stock levels for front of house like alcohol, condiments, linen, cutlery, crockery, and stationery.
• Handle complaints or special requests from customers.
