Job summary

McDermott Aviation Group seeks qualified LAMEs and AMEs to support maintenance and airworthiness of its helicopter fleet across Queensland. Multiple full-time and casual positions are available, with emphasis on safety, regulatory compliance, and comprehensive maintenance documentation.

Ideal candidates hold CASA/NZCAA/FAA/EASA licences or equivalent, have at least 3 years in the industry, and are eligible for ASIC. Training and development are ongoing within a collaborative, experienced team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to ensure airworthiness
• Maintain documentation accurately and timely per OEM/regulatory data
• Certify maintenance actions and sign off on records
• Report defects and maintenance issues per procedures
• Coordinate with Operations and Director of Maintenance
• Uphold highest safety, quality, and compliance standards
• Provide guidance to team members under supervision

Position Summary

We are seeking qualified LAMEs and AMEs for multiple full-time and casual positions supporting the maintenance and continued airworthiness of our operational helicopter fleet.

Minimum Requirements

• CASA B1.3 Licence, NZCAA Licence, FAA A&P Licence, EASA Part-66 Licence, or equivalent aircraft maintenance qualification, or eligibility to obtain CASA licence recognition.
• Sound knowledge of civil aviation regulations and compliance requirements
• Relevant industry experience - Minimum 3 years
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an ASIC
• Ability to successfully complete DAMP testing

The Role

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to ensure aircraft serviceability and operational availability
• Conduct maintenance in accordance with OEM, regulatory and company-approved data
• Complete maintenance certification and documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Report defects, damage and maintenance issues in accordance with company procedures
• Liaise with Operations and the Director of Maintenance as required
• Maintain the highest standards of safety, compliance and professionalism
• Provide guidance and support to team members under your supervision
