Tyzac Vacuum Excavation is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Workshop Trade Hand / Qualified Mechanic to join our workshop in Queensland. The role blends servicing, preventative maintenance and repairs with occasional field/offsite support for our operators, keeping heavy vehicles and equipment operating safely.

You'll work on heavy trucks, diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical fault finding, with opportunities to diagnose, repair and learn across a range of specialised plant.

Qualifications

• Heavy vehicle mechanical experience.
• Able to fault-find and diagnose faults.
• Capable of working independently and in a team.
• Hands-on attitude with good attention to detail.
• Strong focus on safety and equipment care.
• Reliable with a good work ethic.
• Current HR driver's licence.
• Willing to assist operators with site/offside work as required.
• Experience with heavy trucks, diesel engines, hydraulics or specialised plant is highly regarded.

Responsabilités

• Servicing and preventative maintenance of heavy vehicles and equipment.
• Mechanical repairs and general workshop duties.
• Fault finding and diagnostics.
• Assisting with breakdowns and repairs as required.
• Identifying faults and reporting maintenance needs.
• Occasional offsite work and offsiding of operators.
• Keeping the workshop and work areas organised and safe.
