Job summary

EarthTrac Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic specialising in heavy plant and machinery to support expansion across the region, with on-site and field-based service. You will work on vehicles supplied by the company and liaise directly with customers to diagnose issues and deliver effective repairs.

The role emphasizes safety, thorough documentation, and high-quality workmanship within a team that values skilled trades and customer service.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification as a Heavy Plant Mechanic recognised in Australia.
• Strong technical knowledge of Construction Equipment systems and components.
• Customer service focused with excellent communication skills.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
• Flexible and adaptable to handle a variety of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and ensure new machines are ready to be delivered to customer/s.
• Diagnose and repair various machine systems and components.
• Complete diagnostic process & breakdown repairs
• Conduct scheduled servicing and/or maintenance on mobile construction equipment.
• Liaise with customers to understand issues and provide solutions.
• Maintain detailed records of all work completed.
• Ensure a safe and organised work environment.
• Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.

Job description

EarthTrac Pty Ltd is an Authorised Case Construction Dealer for Brisbane, South East Queensland and NSW North Coast.

We are currently looking to add another experienced Diesel Mechanic, specialising in heavy plant & machinery, to bolster our expansion within the region. This role involves both on site & field-based service (vehicle provided).

Key responsibilities

Prepare and ensure new machines are ready to be delivered to customer/s.

Diagnose and repair various machine systems and components.

Complete diagnostic process & breakdown repairs
