Job summary

Transdev Australasia is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic at Randwick Depot in Sydney. You will service, repair and troubleshoot buses to keep them safe, reliable and available for daily operations, with opportunities to work on EV technology and future mobility projects.

You will collaborate with a skilled team, mentor apprentices, and benefit from an attractive remuneration package, shift allowances, overtime, and a staff travel card.

Qualifications

• Current NSW MVTC Motor Mechanic Trade Certificate (essential).
• TAFE Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology (essential).
• Current HR Driver Licence, or ability to obtain one.
• Strong computer literacy; accurate maintenance records.
• Experience supervising apprentices/trade assistants.
• Experience using diagnostic scan tools (desirable); bus ops experience (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Repair, service and maintain buses per standards.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle faults.
• Road test after maintenance.
• Attend vehicle breakdowns on-site and in-field.
• Keep maintenance records in computer systems.
• Support training of apprentices and trade assistants.
• Work safely within a team.
• Boost fleet reliability through proactive maintenance.
