Zusammenfassung

Fortescue is seeking an Electrician to support the reliability and performance of our drill fleet across Pilbara operations, with FIFO from Perth on a 8D/6R roster. You will undertake electrical maintenance, fault finding and repairs on drill rigs and supporting equipment, while working with maintenance teams, OEM partners and contractors to improve safety, reliability and decarbonisation initiatives.

Qualifikationen

• A current Western Australian Electrical Licence is required.
• Experience with mobile assets, drill rigs, mining equipment or similar heavy industrial equipment.
• HV Switching qualifications and experience.
• Experience with PLC controls and automated systems.
• Knowledge of WA electrical standards and regulations.
• Experience using CMMS/SAP for maintenance activities is desirable.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read technical manuals and electrical schematics.
• Commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
• Good communication and organisational skills; team-focused.

Aufgaben

• Maintain drill rigs and supporting equipment per OEM specs and Fortescue procedures.
• Perform electrical maintenance, inspections, fault finding and repairs for reliable fleet performance.
• Identify consumables and parts to support continuous operation.
• Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings to address hazards and improvements.
• Maintain vehicles, tools and equipment per company standards.
• Follow SAP and Fortescue work management processes.
• Record notifications, work orders and time in SAP accurately.
• Undertake outdoor hands-on maintenance and manual duties.
• Contribute to continuous improvement for fleet safety and reliability.
• Assist with commissioning of new plant and equipment as required.
• Collaborate with OEM vendors, contractors and internal teams on new tech and decarbonisation.
• Support a respectful, inclusive team environment that prioritises safety.
