Job summary

MacKellar is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to support Middlemount Mine. You will coordinate and plan preventive and corrective maintenance for a large heavy mining fleet, ensuring safety and reliability while aligning with production needs.

The role involves coordinating priorities with maintenance teams and operations to maximise equipment availability. You’ll bring a mechanical trade or engineering qualification, CMMS/ERP experience, strong Excel skills, and a Queensland Driver

Qualifications

• Mechanical trade qualification or Mechanical Engineering degree with mining or heavy industry experience.
• Experience in a Maintenance Planner or similar role.
• Solid understanding of maintenance planning, scheduling and heavy mobile equipment.
• Experience using CMMS/ERP maintenance management systems.
• Strong MS Office skills (Excel/Word/Outlook) and a current Queensland Driver Licence.
• Willingness to obtain Queensland Coal Board Medical and Standard 11.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining weekly maintenance schedules aligned with production requirements and capacity.
• Planning preventative and corrective maintenance across a fleet of heavy mining equipment.
• Coordinating short-term and long-term maintenance activities to maximise availability.
• Maintaining accurate work orders and ensuring CMMS/ERP compliance.
• Monitoring maintenance performance, schedules and budgets to meet timeframes.
• Collaborating with maintenance supervisors, tradespeople and operations to prioritise work.
