Job summary

Techforce JobAdder is seeking an experienced Heavy Tyre Fitter to join a mining operation at an NT mine site. This FIFO opportunity offers an hourly casual rate with a 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster, with potential to transition to permanent employment after 3 months.

Responsibilities include tyre fitting, inspections and maintenance on CAT 773 and larger equipment, while following site safety procedures and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Australian Trade Certificate in Tyre Fitting (Heavy) is mandatory.
• Current C Class driver’s licence (HR preferred).
• Current National Police Clearance or ability to pass security screening.
• Ability to clear PEM and DAS requirements.

• Perform tyre fitting, removal, installation, repairs and maintenance on heavy mining equipment.
• Conduct tyre inspections and identify wear, damage and potential safety issues.
• Work on CAT 773 and larger dump trucks, CAT 988 loaders, graders, 40-tonne Moxy trucks and six-wheel water carts.
• Follow site safety procedures and maintenance requirements.
• Maintain accurate service records and report equipment defects.

FIFO: Perth, Darwin or Brisbane
Roster: 2 weeks on / 1 week off (2/1)
Pay Rate: $65–$70 per hour casual
Employment Type: Casual with the opportunity to go permanent after 3 months

• Work on CAT 773 and larger dump trucks, CAT 988 loaders, graders, 40-tonne Moxy trucks and six-wheel water carts.
• Follow site safety procedures and maintenance requirements.
• Maintain accurate service records and report equipment defects.

Mandatory Requirements

• Australian Trade Certificate in Tyre Fitting and Handling (Heavy) or international equivalent.
• Current C Class driver's licence (HR preferred).
• Current National Police Clearance or ability to pass applicable security screening.
• Ability to clear PEM and DAS requirements.

Mandatory Experience

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Heavy Equipment Tyre Fitter.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in the mining industry.
• Previous experience in mechanical workshops and remote site environments.
• Proven experience working on CAT 773 and larger dump trucks, CAT 988 loaders, graders, 40-tonne Moxy trucks and six-wheel water carts.
