Job summary

Golding Contractors is seeking an experienced Heavy-Duty Diesel Fitter to join the South Walker Creek Mine team near Mackay. You will service and repair heavy mobile mining equipment, supporting a 7/7 day/night roster and camp-based accommodation.

This role emphasizes safety and reliability, with on-site and field maintenance, toolbox talks, and opportunities for long-term, permanent employment. You will hold an Australian Recognised Trade Qualification and a current High-Risk licence,

Qualifications

• Australian recognised trade qualification is required.
• Experience with service heavy mobile mining equipment.
• Current Coal Board Medical (or ability to pass).
• Current Standard 11.
• High-Risk Work Licence (including Dogging, Rigging, C6 & EWP desirable).
• Current Drivers Licence.
• Solid troubleshooting & diagnostic skill.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain graders 16, 24M and related heavy equipment.
• Work in a team to minimize downtime of production equipment.
• Routine servicing and maintenance on site workshops and field-based work.
• Fault finding and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Complete maintenance administration in a timely, legible manner.
• Actively participate in toolbox and safety meetings.
• Participate in Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Work Method Statement reviews.

We are currently seeking experiencedHeavy-Duty Diesel Fittersto join our team at South Walker Creek Mine, just 1.5 hours fromMackay. With a strong partnership in place with our client Stanmore, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing project that has recently secured a five-year contract extension until 2031.

This role operates on a7/7 roster, rotatingday and nightshifts.Accommodation, meals,andbus transportbetween camp and siteare provided.

Key Role Tasks

Experience working on the following equipment:

• Graders 16, 24M
• Working as part of a team to ensure minimal downtime of production equipment
• Routine servicing and maintenance of all equipment both site workshop and field based
• Fault finding and trouble shooting
• Complete all maintenance administration requirements in a timely and legible manner
• Actively participate in toolbox and safety meetings
• Participate in Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Work Method Statement Reviews
