Job summary

Hilltops Council is seeking a Heavy Combination (HC) Plant Operations Crew Member for our Young depot. This permanent, full-time role focuses on operating HC trucks and heavy plant to build and maintain roads and infrastructure across Hilltops, from the Young site.

You will have HC driving and general heavy plant experience (backhoes, excavators, loaders) and may perform skilled labouring, with overtime and an on-call roster.

Qualifications

• Experience operating HC trucks or floats or trucks & dogs.
• Experience with heavy generalist plant operation (backhoes, excavators, loaders).
• Willingness to work overtime and be on-call as required.

Heavy Combination (HC) Plant Operations Crew Member (Young)

(Permanent, full-time – 76 hours per nine-day fortnight)

HC Plant Operations Crew Members contribute to the operational needs of Council by undertaking construction and maintenance of Council roads and infrastructure across all of Hilltops. In this role you will be predominately driving heavy articulated trucks (HC – either floats or trucks & dogs) and operating other heavy plant and machinery, generally from our Young depot.

This role is ideal for knowledgeable, competent HC drivers with experience in generalist heavy plant operation (e.g. backhoes, excavators, front-end loaders), and those with more specialised plant experience such as grader operations.

As this role may also provide support by undertaking skilled labouring duties and working overtime/after-hours work, you will have good physical fitness and be willing to participate in an on-call roster (allowance provided per Award).
