Job summary

Hilltops Council is seeking a Construction Grading Crew Member for a permanent, full-time position based at the Young Works Depot. You will operate a range of grading plant on road and civil infrastructure projects, with a 76 hours per nine-day fortnight roster and potential overtime.

Remuneration up to $71k p.a. plus 12% superannuation and an Adverse Working Conditions Allowance, with additional entitlements under the Local Government State Award.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a range of civil construction plant.
• Experience with watercarts, rollers or graders preferred.
• Willingness to work overtime and be on on‑call roster.

As a Construction Grading Crew Member, you will work as part of a small, mobile grading crew on a range of road and other civil infrastructure construction projects. This is a highly diverse role that will provide you with skills to be able to operate a multitude of plant and expose you to a number of pathways for career advancement.

Applicants with experience in watercarts, rollers or graders will be highly regarded. Successful applicants can expect to work reasonable overtime on occasion, and be on a rotating on-call roster for emergency response (overtime rates/shift penalties/on-call allowances would be applicable).
