Job summary

Ferrovial, through its Webber unit, is seeking a Laborer Common for heavy civil work in Sydney. This entry-level role supports the Foreman and skilled trades, learning site practices while contributing to projects that shape infrastructure.

You will perform manual tasks, handle materials, assist with pipework, and help maintain safety standards on site. The position requires physical fitness and a safety-oriented mindset, with potential for growth within Ferrovial Construction.

Qualifications

• Must comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Assist Foreman and skilled workers on site.
• Strong manual dexterity and physical stamina.
• Able to work outdoors in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Digging, spreading and leveling dirt, sand and gravel using a pick, shovel or rake.
• Lift, carry and hold construction materials, tools and supplies.
• Clean tools, equipment, materials and work area.
• Mix, pour and spread concrete, asphalt, gravel and other materials using hand tools.
• Join, wrap and seal sections of pipe.
• Perform routine non-machine tasks such as removing forms, filling excavations, placing pipe sections in trench and assembling sections of pipe.
• Perform machine tasks such as tapping soil, jack hammering and assisting in fusing of pipe.
