Job summary

UPS SCS Healthcare Warehouse in Sydney seeks a capable operations supervisor to manage day-to-day warehouse activities, including receipts, pick/pack, and dispatch in both ambient and cold chain environments. You will report to the Healthcare Warehouse Supervisor and lead a team of distribution operators.

Responsibilities include inventory control, process improvements, audits, safety, and liaison with transport carriers to meet customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehousing and domestic transportation operations.
• Strong customer engagement and management capabilities.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the healthcare warehouse, including receipts, pick/pack and dispatch in ambient and cold chain.
• Supervise and guide 10-12 distribution operators; participate in training and induction.
• Maintain inventory controls and reports; support investigations and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with domestic transport carriers and ensure KPIs are met.
• Respond to customer emails and support audits and QA processes.
• Drive safety and maintain hygiene; support new customer implementations.

Job description

Responsible for day-to-day operations at the UPS SCS Healthcare Warehouse in Sydney whilst providing a high level of service to UPS Contract Logistics customers. Reporting to the Healthcare Warehouse Supervisor you will additionally be responsible for the below duties and responsibilities: This role Manages 10-12 Distribution Operators.

Responsibilities:

• Execution of the daily operations of the healthcare warehouse, including receipts, cycle counts, pick, pack and dispatch as required in the ambient and cold chain environment.
• Ability to supervise and provide direction and guidance to other employees including the ability to assist in the provision of on-the-job training, induction, employee selection, safety and disciplinary procedures
• Maintaining control registers( IB/OB) including inventory reports and being responsible for supporting investigation and reconciliation processes.
• Liaising with service providers including domestic transport carriers.
• Ensuring that customer and internal Key Performance Indicators are consistently achieved.
• Responding to customer emails as necessary
• Participating in root cause analysis for any service failures and implementing Corrective Action Plans as directed to prevent reoccurrence.
• Conforming to all regulatory requirements for a healthcare operation.
• Participating in internal, customer and government audits as required.
• Prompt response to any Quality Assurance risks and exposures.
• Training compliance to include QA, Good Warehousing Practices (GWP), and Safe Work Methods ( SWM)
• Support as required during new customer implementations
• Adherence to all regulations at the Healthcare warehouse, including GWP.
• Drive Safety within and around the warehouse for all employees, customers and contractors.
• Maintain a high level of warehouse hygiene and cleanliness.
• Implements quality control techniques and procedures.
• Any other reasonable tasks assigned

• Experience with WMS and TMS, SAP experience will be an advantage
• PC knowledge (MS office), MS-Excel knowledge

• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
