Job summary

UPS is seeking an Account Executive (Business Development) to support our growing Small Package team in Botany, NSW. You will focus on acquiring new clients and managing existing relationships under the guidance of the Area Sales Manager.

You should be able to work under pressure with minimal supervision, identify opportunities, present proposals, and coordinate with other departments to tailor logistics solutions.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications preferred.
  • Proven sales experience (preferably in Road Transport Industry).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be ambitious and self-driven.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to build rapport and relate well with others.
  • Confidence to communicate with people at all levels of a company.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains regular planned contact with the designated clients in his/her territory.
  • Develops and manages relationships with client business.
  • Proactively identify additional opportunities for increased profitable business.
  • Gains and understands the clients business and vision and direction for business.
  • Provides advice and support to meet client business.
  • Collects and provides competitive information in the territory for analysis and distribution.
  • Attends weekly sales call and other meetings as required.
  • Identify the client requirements including organizational structure, key contacts, and then establish opportunities.
  • Work with other departments to assist in developing a solution for the clients.
  • Assists in the data gathering, outlining assumptions and value proposition for the client.
  • Acts as the client advocate during solution development.
  • Develop proposal materials, validates pricing and match to client's requirements.
  • Present proposals to client; sells value of solution, obtains client’s commitment and agreement to proceed with a project.
  • Oversees client relationship for the initial period on major business issues pertaining to operations and channels customer feedback.

Job description

We are looking for an Account Executive (Business Development) to support our growing business as a long-established leader in Small Package, we are seeking a passionate, motivated and energetic individual to join our Business Development team in our Small Package segment, located in Botany, NSW.

The successful Candidate should ideally be able to work well under pressure with minimum supervision focusing on the management and acquisition of new and existing clients. Reporting to the Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for all duties outlined below.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Existing Business
  • Maintains regular planned contact with the designated clients in his/her territory

In this role due to the nature of the operations, you may be required to work hours outside of this band.
