Job summary

UPS is seeking a Distribution Operator in Sydney to handle daily shipping and receiving, pick, pack and dispatch customer orders to meet KPIs. You will maintain records and support stock control.

The role requires forklift and order picker licenses, the ability to work independently within a team, and strong communication. Some overtime is expected to accommodate operational needs in a busy warehouse.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years in the logistics industry.
• LF Fork Lift License and LO Order Picker/Turret Truck licenses required.
• Able to work independently and within a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Willing to work outside standard hours due to operation needs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily shipping and receiving of goods.
• Maintain records of parts received and dispatched.
• Take part in all cycle count and stock take duties.
• Maintain OH&S issues within the warehouse.
• Maintain general housekeeping of direct areas.
• Coordinate activities of other distribution center staff.
• Be the point of escalation and resolution for work-related issues.
• Complete report creation, tracking and analysis as required.
• Meet Client KPI.

Job description

The Distribution Operator's role is responsible for providing a professional service for our customers and ensuring that the requests are actioned in a timely manner. This includes the pick, pack & dispatch of customer orders to ensure KPI’s are met.

SUMMARY & DUTIES

• Responsible for the daily shipping and receiving of goods
• Maintain all records of parts received and dispatched.
• Taking part in all cycle count and stock take duties.
• Maintain Occupational Health and Safety issues within the warehouse.
• Maintain general housekeeping of direct areas
• Understands and is responsible for quality control standards.
• Be able to competently co-ordinate activities of other distribution center facility employees
• Point of escalation and resolution for work related issues
• Complete report creation, tracking and analysis as required
• Meet Client KPI

EXPERIENCE/ REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work independently and be highly self-motivated.
• Ability to work within a team environment
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
• Hold a valid LF Fork Lift License & LO Order Picker/Turret Truck Licenses
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Possesses an advanced level of interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to achieve quality results
• Minimum 2-3 Years' experience in the Logistics industry
• In this role due to the nature of the operations, you will be required to work hours outside of this band
