Job summary

Darling Downs Health is seeking an Operational Services Officer to help create safe, welcoming and efficient healthcare environments across the Darling Downs region. The role supports patients, staff and visitors through a hands-on approach, delivering essential services and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

You will contribute by keeping environments clean and well-maintained, assisting with patient movement and non-clinical tasks, and delivering catering and operational support

Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge of operational, environmental or support services, ideally within healthcare or a similar setting.
• Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to manage priorities and maintain high standards of safety and quality.
• A proactive approach, sound judgement and a commitment to continuous learning.
• A current C Class driver's licence and the ability to undertake manual handling tasks and shift work requirements.

Responsibilities

• Help keep healthcare services running by creating clean, safe and welcoming environments.
• Assist with patient movement, transport and non-clinical support activities.
• Deliver cleaning, catering and operational support services meeting safety and infection control standards.
• Collaborate to ensure equipment, facilities and daily operations are reliable and ready when needed.
