Job summary

Bayside Health in Wonthaggi is seeking a Chef for a fixed-term 12-month contract to deliver high-quality meals in a hospital setting. The role requires adhering to nutritional standards, accommodating diet codes and allergies, and maintaining food safety compliance.

Applicants should have a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, experience in a commercial kitchen, and be able to work well in a team or independently. Police checks and WWC are required or will be obtained.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent trade qualification.
• Knowledge of food safety principles and safe handling practices.
• Experience in preparing meals in a commercial kitchen.
• Healthcare, aged care or large-scale catering experience preferred.
• Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain.
• Current Working with Children check or willingness to obtain.
• Basic understanding of therapeutic diets and allergen management.
• Food Safety Supervisor qualification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality nutritious meals meeting nutritional standards and dietary codes.
